Description
The Auction Production Associate will provide support for all aspects of producing and implementing our auctions. Auction Production Associates are responsible for data entry, physical organization of products, and support during live auction events. An ideal candidate will be organized, reliable, punctual and must be flexible with scheduling and potential daily or weekend overtime as needed.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understand basic auction production knowledge to ensure accurate inventory handling and execution.
- Use proprietary software to process and manage auction inventory which may include but not limited to purchase orders and transfers.
- Organize inventory within the main and C&A vaults to optimize space utilization and facilitate efficient retrieval. Implement and adhere to systematic labeling or shelving systems to ensure easy identification and access to items for different steps in the auction production process.
- Maintain accurate records of auction inventory in proprietary systems and auction production spreadsheets in Excel, including box numbers, quantities, and location.
- Regularly reconcile physical inventory counts with recorded inventory levels to identify discrepancies in each auction. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies through thorough auditing and investigation.
- Label, order, and package auction lots for viewing and shipping to various viewing venues. Requires proper placement, organization, accuracy, and execution to meet deadlines.
- Represent online bidders during the live auction. Properly communicate and accurately close and navigate live and internet-only auctions.
- Provide support to our cataloging or client service teams or consignment directors by addressing inquiries related to inventory location, lot viewing, order pick-ups, mail inspections, etc.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in wholesale, consignments, marketing, accounting, and other departments to achieve company objectives and deliver exceptional auction lot organization and effectively execute live and internet-only auctions.
Required Skills/Proficiencies:
- Associate degree or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service or data entry experience preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence; ability to write correspondence
- Microsoft Office – Excel and Word advanced proficiency required
- Active listening skills
- Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate in a professional manner
Full-Time | $22.00 – $24.00/hr | On-site – Costa Mesa, CA
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
- Overtime as needed
- Weekend availability required
