Description
Precious Metals Associate will provide support for all aspects of producing the Precious Metals Auction. This employee will be responsible for cataloging the physical material, physically organizing the product in the vaults, and verifying auction lots for accuracy. An ideal candidate will be a natural leader, organized, reliable, willing to learn and must be flexible with scheduling and potential daily or weekend overtime as needed.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understand basic auction production knowledge to ensure accurate inventory handling and execution.
- Use proprietary software to process and manage auction inventory which may include but not limited to purchase orders, transfers and invoices.
- Verify coin composition, weight and fineness of precious metal items and catalog them within our standard style.
- Organize inventory within the vaults to optimize space utilization and facilitate efficient retrieval. Implement and adhere to systematic labeling or shelving systems to ensure easy identification and access to items for different steps in the auction production process.
- Maintain accurate records of auction inventory in proprietary systems and auction production spreadsheets in Excel, including box numbers, quantities, and location.
- Regularly reconcile to ensure physical inventory matches auction listings.
- Physically organize the vault each day.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in Wholesale, Consignments, Marketing, Accounting, and other departments to achieve company objectives.
Required Skills/Proficiencies:
- Associate degree or equivalent preferred
- Previous analytical and data entry experience preferred
- Promptly reply to emails
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence; ability to write correspondence
- Microsoft Office – Excel and Word advanced proficiency required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic mathematical skills and understanding
Full-Time | $22.00 – $27.00/hr | On-site – Costa Mesa, CA
